1985年に広島で原爆の犠牲となり、白血病のため12歳で亡くなった少女、サダコ。病室で千羽鶴を折った貞子は、平和の象徴として世界中に知られている。現代によみがえったサダコは、福島の原発事故を体験した少年シンジと出会う。シンジは貞子の初恋の人にそっくりだった。 広島の原爆被害の実相を現代に伝え、核兵器廃絶を訴える作品。監督の樽谷大助は、実物の貞子鶴のレプリカを世界に届ける活動を続けている。
